Garage Members Head For Shropshire
Following a fantastic show and conference for GROUPAUTO motor factor members last October, it’s now the turn of the AutoCare garage members to sample the atmosphere at the Telford International Centre (TIC) for their event in April.
The combined trade show, conference and gala dinner takes place on Friday 4th and is set to be the largest AutoCare member event yet held. The exhibition space for the trade show covers more than 2,000 sqm and already 82 GROUPAUTO approved suppliers have committed to display their wares and explain to member garages just what makes them the products they need.
Part of what makes the AutoCare event so popular is the fact that exhibitors are encouraged to be proactive and reach out to the visiting garages and actively engage with them. It’s the ideal opportunity for them to demonstrate what makes their products so good or what specialist knowledge they need to understand in order to do the very best job or get the greatest return on their investment.
Talking about knowledge, the day will also be regularly punctuated by technical seminars presented by industry experts Frank Massey and Steve Carter, which will address the topical issues that technicians need to know or at least be aware are on their way to the workshop in the years to come.
A trade show is also about having fun and so in addition to the participative invitations there’s sure to be on the AutoCare stand, many exhibitors will be running competitions and opportunities to ensure members do not leave the event empty handed, but win some sort of prize to take away.
Immediately following the trade show element, members will converge for the conference, which is a valuable opportunity for them to hear first-hand, the latest news and the forthcoming developments and group initiatives that will help them remain a highly competitive part of the industry.
The conference is also the venue for the AutoCare awards and where the winners will receive their trophies, two of the most closely fought categories being the ‘AutoCare Garage of the Year’ and the ‘Factor Co-ordinator of the Year’.
The AutoCare event is this year supported by GROUPAUTO’s own Approved Garages programme, so garages will have numerous opportunities to understand how the network has grown since its launch last year and the way the website is generating leads and bringing new business into those within the network, which is now more than 400 strong.
AutoCare network manager, Maria McCullough said: “We had such a well received and well supported motor factor member event at TIC in October, that it was the obvious venue for this years AutoCare garage event.
“We try to give our members a bit of everything with this event and as there is a lot of business done and hard work involved throughout the day on Friday, we like to start and end the proceedings with something more relaxing. This is why the golf enthusiasts enjoy the golf day on Thursday and we all enjoy the gala dinner that brings things to a close on Friday evening.
