Autoheat Set Up second Manufacturing Facility

Article by: Martin Scholes on 2013-03-26

This time last year, the Autoheat C1250 was just an idea in technical director Gary Milton’s mind. Now it’s one of the fastest growing flameless induction units available.

In its short life (launched in January) the Autoheat C1250 has secured over 1000 orders throughout the UK and Europe without needing any heavy marketing. Its convenience led to massive demand letting workshop operators quickly and easily remove stubborn nuts, bolts, bonding etc using flameless inductor technology.

The response has lead Autoheat to set up a second manufacturing facility in Cheltenham, besides its Manchester facility. The Cheltenham branch will provide units to support heavy demand from Europe, which is ahead of forecasted demand.

Said MD Andrew Dimond: “We knew the Autoheat C1250 was going to be a success but even we didn’t expect it to grow this fast! As soon as the word was out there was a British made flameless inductor unit, we were inundated with calls. We’re at a point where European demand exceeds UK demand. We’ve got bulk orders from large recognised industry retailers.” The auto industry got its first glimpse of the Autoheat C1250 last November at Mechanex Sandown Park where numerous pre-orders were made.

When asked what the future holds for the C1250 Andrew said: “This is just the beginning for what’s a great solution to a common workshop problem. We’ll heavily market the tool using innovative methods that will keep people informed of what it is and offer support on how to use it.”
